Short answer:
I've never used that portion of the software but it looks like it would work OK.
More Info:
When I capture audio, I use Sound Forge. If I am recording a whole LP I record the whole side as one big wave file. I remove any clicks / pops with either the Noise Reduction plug in or Adobe Audition. I then take a noise sample between songs and run noise reduction over the whole file from either software. I then fade each song in and out just enough to eliminate any possible pops and mute the silence between tracks. At this point, I add regions to the file and normalize the level. Then I open the file with CD Architect, convert the regions to track markers and burn away. This ends up with a CD that follows the timing the same as the record.
I am using my trusty Santa Cruz sound card which unfortunately does not have drivers for vista, so I guess I don't have a need for Vista until I build or buy a new computer.
