Hi All,

I noticed these four burners are all $89 Australian:

LG, LiteOn, Asus, Samsung (all 52x/24x/52x).

Any of those in pariticular I should avoid? I read the reviews here, and there doesn't seem to be any major difference, although the Samsung isn't reviewed.

Thanks.

Read the thread at Ever buy a drive, just "because"?, then buy all four. :o :o

Just kidding.

Personally, I think the LiteOn offers a very attractive package of high performance, firmware update maintenance and repair, liberal return policy, media compatibility, protected disc copying capability, excellent internet board support, and high value.

I agree!

actually, I would suggest trying to get the LiteON 48x24x48x instead of the 52x24x52x drive, since they are actually the same hardware, and you can make the 48x into a 52x with a firmware update :D

I'd go with the Lite-On, too. Good quality drive, high quality writing, and frequent firmware updates.
