I tried searching the forum but I didn't come up with anything. Anyone have a tutorial on "overclocking" my LTR-48246S into a LTR-52246S? Thanks :)

Download MTK WinFlash and a binary firmware for the LTR-52246S, the latest (6S0F) may not be available in binary form on the usual sites yet so you can use an older version and update to 6S0F after converting your drive. Find binaries here: http://liteon.notrix.net

Use MTK WinFlash to flash the binary firmware onto your drive and you're set.

It's not worth the risk of damaging your drive to gain 4x.

Or get a slew of error-ridden burns.

The 4x from 48x to 52x is not significant enough, maybe 15 seconds on a full CD?

Besides 52x media is rare, since everything is "up to".

I also don't think it's worth the risk of damaging the drive to flash from 48x to 52x. I could "overclock" my 48x Benq to a 52x one (it has been done before, really!), but I don't want to risk damaging the drive to gain a few seconds. I'll just wait until I can buy an LTR-52327S.
