how do i have my cd-writer reported as defective? my cd-writer is less than a year but i already have more than 1000 burns and when i do duplicating CDs, there are cases that it reports burn successful but the cd-r is empty, and i have to re-burn...

is this a bug or should i opt for replacement? so far no bad burns yet, only burn skipping where the cd-r end up empty..

You'll have to work with the company that you bought it from.
