Save existing firmware from Plextor Premiun

Is there any utilitiy that could save existing firmware from Plextor Premium?

You can use mtkflash.

Just go here:
http://dhc014.firmware-flash.com/

and click on the mtkflash Page. Follow those instructions.

Really? Can either of you send me the resulting file? Can mtkflash also flash a backup back onto a drive or can it only make backups?

It can backup firmware and flash firmware.

mtkflash doesn't work with all drives. Only ones which use MediaTek chips.

as far as i know, there is no tool that enables you to back up a firmware on Plextor drives. if someone knows me to be wrong, please correct me!

however, i believe you can flash a drive with an older firmware than the version that is in it.
you can get (most) of the older firmwares from Plextor's websites.
