ok i recently purchased a LTR-52246S(liteon) and i had recieved these datalife cd-r's from iran as a gift. They are not datalife plus, just normal datalife (red disks, 700mb, 40x max, A grade, ISO 9002 made in taiwan).
Im using Nero 5.5.10, and it reads these disks, burns them, but when i put the disk back in(after its been burned) it wont read it, nor will my dvd drive read it :-? this is pissing me off very much becuase I have 50 of these datalife cd-r's  i even tryed getting roxio and burning with that and still nothing.
- a strange thing is, when i look at the blank side of these disks, at light, i can see the front of it through the disk??wtf?? please help me i want to use these disks
- other disks like samsung, and liteon cd-r's/rw work fine

Try those cdr's with some other cd-writer, if they work then they just aren't compatible with your LiteOn. Have you tried with different burning speeds? If not, try for example 12X, that is usually a good one because it's CLV but not the maximum CLV speed. 4X is also worth trying.
LiteOn (and Sony which is the same) is sometimes very picky about the cd-r media, but this is the first time i hear that the discs are completely unreadable. What i've tested all Ritek cd-r's are terrible... i had 10 pcs of Maxell's 48X (made by Ritek) and i only managed to burn 3 of them so that there was no C2 errors when checked them with CD Doctor. TDK 40X which is also made by Ritek wasn't any better.
That I've tested so far, good cd-r's are Fuji 650mb 24X and Sony 700mb 40X, both made by the companies themselves.

That is completely normal on some (most?) discs, don't worry about it.

thanks, ill try the lower speeds and see the results.
What cd-r's, for liteon, have you found that have done the best, like wich cd-r's are the best for burning, in your opinion?
