I just received my new drive and flashed to the QS08 firmware. I started up Nero and burnt the same set of files onto 3 different brands of discs at 52X. In KProbe I noticed the C1 errors shoot way up there right at the end with the Memorex and Fuji discs. Some C2 errors popping up at the end as well. The Maxell discs gave me some great results. Anyone else test the new firmware version? Think it may be possible I have a crappy drive on my hand that needs a replacement? I shouldn't be seeing these C2 errors or high C1 errors with the Fuji (Taiyo Yuden). Burning the Fuji at its rated 48X speed produced around the same amount of C1 errors with even higher C2 errors.

Maxell 48X (Ritek)
C1: 2090
C2:0

Memorex 48X (CMC)
C1: 29688
C2: 72

Fuji 48X (TY)
C1: 31462
C2: 12

About how high do those peaks go? Read the scale o the side of the graph. I think that more errors at the end of a disc is normal. You should be concerned when you have big spikes in the middle of a disc.

It's almost a straight up climb at around the 55 minute with the discs having around 65 minutes of data on them.

I meant the numbers on the sides representing the rows, not the numbers on the bottom representing the minutes. I think you must've missed the thread about KProbe.

It shoots almost straight up to the top row.

In KProbe, the highest point on the scale is always the most C1 Errors. That is how the scale in KProbe is automatically set up.
