Mt. Rainier Problems

First of all I want to thank you gyus for replying on my other post (W4012TA problem) but I think I'll RMA the drive (yes, dma was enabled and the drive was already flashed at 1.05, actually when I flashed it to 1.05 it begun to have problems...).

Anyways I formatted a CD-RW using Mt. Rainier on my ASUS CRW-5224A and InCD v4.0.1.21 (newest) but I can't copy files on the CD-RW. At properties InCD gives the following: "This device cannot write to this disk etc." I have formatted Full using Mt. Rainier but whenever I try to copy I get: Cannot copy <filename>. Files on this CD-ROM are read-only etc. Also I made sure that WindowsXP integrated recording is disabled, or else I would get a message like "Windows don't support this CD-RW format. Please reformat using etc."
Please help!

edit: The media I'm using is TDK CD-RW650 10x High Speed, and I can read and write at a non-Mt. Rainier state...

Please be patient...

Anyhow, was the disc that you formatted as Mt. Rainier a new (unused) disc, or had you used it before? If it was used, how many times had you used it?

If you haven't already, try a new disc.

the new InCD 4 is buggy. look in the Ahead forum, you'll see plenty of posts about it.
i wouldn't expect too much of it right now.
wait for a few more updates (a couple of months?) or use InCD 3.5.

I tried using the cd-rw that was included with the drive, but the exact same thing happened.

I'll try InCD 3.5 and let you guys know what happens...
Thanx for the replies :) !

InCD v3.x that was bundled with my drive causes my system to crash because of a SCSI something .sys file!
Is there any other way that I can take advantage of the Mt. Rainier format?

maybe try the latest version of InCD 3.5.
look for it in Ahead's website.

hmm....can't find it on the website.
ftp://ftp6.nero.com/ had InCD version 35191.

try googling for InCD35240.exe , that's the latest version of InCD 3.5.
