Is there such a thing as a GOOD combo drive?

I was thinking about buying a PlexCombo, but noticed that a few places such as newegg no longer carry it, so I'm guessing it's no longer made. (?)

I'm not reading very good things about the LiteOn combo drive and I've got a LiteOn CD-RW that now refuses to read burned discs, so no more LiteOn drives for me.

What quality combo drives are out there? Willing to spend up to $120.

Thanks,
JJ

LG and Samsung make some very good combo drives too.

Mmm, yes, LG. My LG GCC-4320B is quite nice! I actually own two of them!

Got mine at Walmart-48x24x48-16-price dropped since I bought mine,it's about 75 bucks now.Doesn't like Sony CD-Rs though.I think the Sony 48X CDR's I bought are actually rebranded 40X cause my Liteon(48X)(48125W) will only burn them at 40X.So far the LG has been great.Just use Phillips,Memorex,TDK.Maxell 48X media and it works great at Max speed.Fastest CD-RW media available around here is Memorex 12X and it's terrible.I use 4X 650MB Fuji CD-RW for INCD and they are trouble free.Have Nero 6 and Roxio 6 and they both work great.Seems the LG is a little better and faster with CloneCD though. Can't wait for a firmware update to kick it on up to 52X though.Might be a long time coming since it's not a Liteon.By the way,it plays Dvds fine, much better than the Samsung DVD player it replaced.
