LiteON's seem to have a problem with the burn speed dropping to 4x or so when writing the Lead-out. On a RARE occasion or two my 48125W has not done this, but most of the time it does slow down. I don't know the exact specifics of how long it takes to write the lead-out since I've never timed it, but I suggest using Alcohol 120% to do a burn, and then look at the statistics provided, as they are very detailed, especially when compared to Nero or Roxio!!

My observation is that the lead-in/out is written at the same speed as the rest of the disc, so a higher set burn speed means faster lead-in/out.
If you see a slower speed during the lead-out, it's because the drive has downshifted late in the burn due to a SmartBurn intervention. I see this a lot when burning at 48x+.
