it's MUCH easier to aks if a certain drive will support 90min or 99min media, then it is to ask for the whole list. Believe me, it will be another year or so before I have a full list to post  So let me know what drives you are thinking of, and I will do my best to let you know their compatability :D

I believe all Lite-On drives support 90 min. and 99 min. disks. If your looking for a drive to buy that supports the 90-99 min. disks, get a Lite-On.

Or if GigaRec on the Plextor Premium seems more appealing to you, get the Premium.

I'd recommend GigaRec on the Premium, as the media is cheaper, because you use 80 min. cd's, but, it is less compatible.

Not all LiteON drives support 99min CD-Rs... although I believe that all LiteON drive *do* support 90min CD-Rs. But the only drives made by LiteON that do not support 99min CD-Rs are the old OLD drives, I believe the 12x10x32x and earlier models only support 90min CD-Rs, and the later models also support 99min.

The Plextor premium also supports 99min CD-Rs I believe, if you want the best of both worlds (GigaRecord + overburn abilities). However I have not *personally* confirmed this...yet. I have *just* returned home from picking up a Plextor Premium, so I will likely do some comparison tests on how it overburns compared to gigarecords, and how they both compare to LiteON's overburning :D

Well, so far my first attempt with Gigarecord has failed. But I was trying to put 90min (x1.3 setting) of VCD onto a 74min Mitsui CD-R.... the CD-R burned completely, and even had a fairly low error rate up until the 77min mark or so (when tested with K-Probe on my LiteON 48125W), but the format of the disc couldn't be recorgnized by windows, or my playback software... so *SO FAR* my experiences with GigaRecord lead me to believe that 1.3x capacity, combined with VCD format, is a no-go. But I'll do more testing. So far the Premium seems to like my really crappy 16x CMC CD-RWs better than my liteON, although my LiteON can burn them at 12x, and the Premium only at 10x... on the other hand, when I burn them on the Premium they turn out better 9at least so far, only burned once on the premium so far).

I'll try to write up my experiences later when I have more to say.

Liteon 52327S seems to be able to do 99Mins well as far as you don't exceed the advertised speed on the media. Also my old LG 8032B can do them. Can Samsung do (ie: write 99Mins successfully everytime you try), now that's a question which remains to be answered...

Cheers.

Yup, the LiteON 52327S DEFFINATLY supports 99min media  and almost every LG model ever made can also do 99min CD-Rs.

I know that the SAMSUNG SW-248B supports 99min media as well, but I'm not sure which model you are referring to? According to my notes, the 24x, 32x, 40x, and 48x models of Samsung burners all can burn up to 99min of data/audio onto a 99min CD-R... but not models previous to the 24x.

I'm referring to the Samsung 348B Combo. Occassionally I have had successful results burning up to 850MB on 99min media. But the average has been around 820 MB for me. My opinion is not a flat-out Samsung 348B is not good with 99min media but personally I have found it's not wise to exceed 820MB. Btw, I have tested only with Aion 870 / 99Min media. (I'm looking for other 99Min brands is Seoul. Haven't had much luck yet) Would any of you guys like to have any info regarding this media?.

Cheers.
