Hi, I've a Samsung SW-252B CD-R/RW drive and I can't record my MP3s to CD-A with CD-TEXT using Nero faster than 12X without getting pops. A friend of mine using a BenQ 52/24/52 drive can record them in 40x without problem.
Does anybody know how can I make successful 40x CD-A recordings from my MP3s? I've no hardware bottlenecks, the problem is exlusively of the CD-RW drive.

How fast is your computer, and how much RAM do you have? If your processor is less than about 1-GHz, you probably won't be able to burn CD-A at 52x from MP3 files.

Also, you might want to try some different discs. Some CD-A players are very picky about the brand of discs you use. Have you tried playing the discs in your computer, or only in a CD-A player?

You should convert your MP3's to WAV first then burn.Most burn softwares built in converter produces poor results,use CDex.

Hi, I have an AMD Athlon XP 2000+ with 256 Mb PC2700 RAM. My hard drive is a Maxtor ATA133 7200 RPM (defragmented) and I've an Abit KX7-333 motherboard. For burning CD-A I use Nero 5.5.10.5 which came bundled with my Samsung CD-RW SW-252B drive. I don't think it has problems decoding MP3 to CD-A.

Yes, your computer should be fast enough. You might want to try another brand of media.

You're welcome. Actually, this reminds me of something that I saw a while ago. Audio CDs burned on CMC discs produced crackles and pops when played on one particular audio CD player, but audio CDs burned on TY discs worked fine on that player.
