I read a review from cdr freaks that dhc014 directed me to and i only heard bad results for the CR-RW discs but i liked to hear from others about the CDR discs that i use 99% of the time. i am currently using QS09 and not to crazy about the quality of 52 speed burns

Using it here. RW quality is deffinitely down, but CDR is slightly better. The problem with some media slowing the burn speed is much improved as well. If you search the new CDFreaks test forum for QS0A , you can look at tests done with it.

Thanks for reminding me, by your post referencing the drive, to install my 52327S drive (or sell it).

I bought it back in August for $10 after rebates, but have not gotten around to installing it alongside my other CD/DVD drives yet.

Why is this not released yet?

Does anyone know why QS0A has not been released yet?

LiteOn seemed to release new firmware versions for this drive on the 25th or 5th of a month and at least once per month.

Probably because of the RW quality issue. My guess is that they'll release a later version.

it's mostly media compatibility... "match more media"...

I would be nice if LiteOn would be more specific about the firmware upgrades in terms of the media the firmware now works with or works better with.
People who don't use the media that it now matches wouldn't have to bother flashing their drives...
