German Philips 52x discs?

I have just bought some "Made in China" 52x Philips discs in regular cases and was pleased to see that they are made by RiTEK and burned OK at 52x speed on my LiteOn LTR-52327S (since I could only burn the 48x discs at 24x).

However, I noticed that Philips also sells 52x discs "Made in Germany" in slimline cases...

Who is the manufacturer of the "Made in German" 52x Philips discs in slimline cases?

Primedisc (which is a collabaration of Philips and Ritek. So the atip says Ritek)

Philips 52x in German any good?

Thanks! Can you perhaps post some K-Probe scans?

I would like to see how they compare with the "Made in China" (also Ritek).

I can't post any test...but due my every day data backup purposes, German Ritek Philips look better in quality (no any sec buffer stop).
Also are available in 25 discs spindle for 9euro....

When using same China CDRs there are 4 sec total slower burning...also
same Taiwan CDRs delays 2 sec....price are cheaper by 1euro in 25 discs spindle of 48/52 x China CDRS .(Taiwan discs are similar hard to find as German discs in my country...)

So far I only used the 90 minutes stuff which was quite bad when burned on my Lite On 48246S. However it could be the drive. Since lately it hardly burns any decent disc's.

Hi guys,
i bought some loose discs marked as 48X Philips and are made by Nanya Plastics Corporation,USA.Even though they are marked as 48X,they burned at 52X on my brothers LG GCE-8520B writer.I didn't check out their quality but I think that they are quite good for the price I paid for them.
See ya guys later,

I think these are the discs I had problems with with my LiteOn LTR-52327S. You might want to check them for quality...

EDIT: No they are not, I have not had the Philips/Nanya combination (but I did have Philips branded discs from other manufacturers and other branded discs from Nanya:-)

The new philips stuff is mostly Ritek(including primedisc) however some are CMC/Nanya.
The old philips profesional stuff is mostly TY however some are Mitsui.
The old Philips normal stuff is mostly Ritek however som are Mitsui.
Philips medical =Mitsui at least last time I checked it was which is some time ago.

My Philips 48x discs are made by CMC, and their write quality isn't very good compared to other CMCs I've used. :(

Availability of Philips Pro discs?
