I agree.Who cares if you have a legal key.By the way I still use Nero 5.5.10.54.I installed a demo of Nero 6.0.0.15 on a friends new computer,and it wont go 'ahead' than the Smart Menu(or something like that) screen.When I installed the OEM Nero 5.5.9.9 that came with the writer it functioned nice,without any problems.
I myself dont think that Nero 6 is perfect at this moment.When I read good reviews about it on this forum then only I will think of buying,sorry,using it.For now 5.5.10.54 is very very good for my system.

I have not had any issues with CD-R/RW burning, which is what I use it for mostly. DVD Burning initially gave me issues, but updating to latest patch resolved my issues. But, other users are still having issues with DVD Burning.
Hopefully these issues with DVD Burning will be resolved soon.

I think you want to remove questions that pertain to using illegally obtained product keys, before you get banned :)
And as you have a valid license of Nero, just pose the question to Ahead tech support e-mail address.
You have nothing to hide, after all.

I have no direct knowledge of their business habits, but I posed the question since I had just read this somewhere and was curious to know if it's true. My curiosity was raised because there might be legal exposure for them if they did engage in spiking downloads.
I am amazed that someone would mention banning me - I simply asked a question. I don't think that this question would aid or abet software piracy. If the answer were yes, Nero does spike downloads from suspect keys, I'd guess that wider knowledge of this might help reduce piracy.
