Is my Samsung 224b really burning at 36x?

I have a Samsung 224b (24x) and when burning with Roxio Easy CD Creator it says that the actual burn speed reaches as high as 36x. Is this really going on or is it some kind of fluke?

Your 24x drive isn't really reaching 36x; sometimes, the speed indicator in ECDC is incorrect.
