Posted: Wed Nov 05, 2003 11:53 amI'm sorry to hear about all of your drive failures, RJW. However, every one of the 6 Lite-On CD-RW drives that I've bought for myself or others is still working fine. My oldest Lite-On, ironically, is a 12x Creative OEM, the same as the one Dolphinius_Rex was talking about. Mine worked the first time, but it works far better flashed to the Lite-On firmware.
