Fuji Colored CD's

I wanted to get the ordinary silver Fuji cdr's but the place where I got them only sold the "Made in Taiwan" 50 packs. So I then decided to get the 50 pack 48x multicolored Fuji's that are made in Japan. These colored cdr's leave very little space for writing on the cd. Could I write on the clear, reflective part on the cdr or am I only allowed to write on the colored portion of the cdr? I ask this because I'm scared that I might mess something up if I write on the noncolored areas.

Here is a picture of what I'm talking about. The colored area is red while the noncolored areas are anywhere on the top of the CD that is not red.

It's safer to write on the colored area, but writing on the silver part probably won't cause any problem, at least in a short amount of time. There's no guarantee if this will cause the data to degrade faster after a long period of time, though.

I have some of these colored Fuji discs, and I only write on the colored part.
