What is the source file: AVI, ASF, WMV, MPG? If it is either of the first three, did you allow Nero to convert the file to a VCD or did you use an alternate program, such as TMPGENC, to encode the AVI/ASF/WMV to an MPG then burn the MPG in Nero as a VCD? Also, what program are you using to playback the burned VCD? I assume you are trying to play it back on your computer and not a set top DVD player.

it's a VCD .mpeg file created in tmpegenc. from an avi which was a captured video off tv uncmpressed no codecs.Nero didn't ask to convert anything for it was compliant. it plays fine on my sony dvd player on tv. also tried the nero convert then when i opened the avi, it still studdered.
