Just wondering what venue you buy your media from and from where be it on-line or B&M and why you like it (or the store) more.

I buy all of my blank media from 4 sources:

#1: My workplace. This is the most common, as I tend to get GOOD prices

#2: Various retail outlets located in my general area, mainly due to my workplace not carry EVERY brand of blank media, and I like a variaty :D

#3: www.blankmedia.ca, they offer a nice variety, and have better prices then most stores do for DVDs, although I get better pricing on anything Ritek based from my workplace (which is what I personally use most of the time)

#4: Small shady flea market like operations. Why? because they don't charge the CD levy, and most of the time don't charge tax either, and when you are buying over 2 thousand CD-Rs a year, sometimes you want to cut a few corners! This is the most uncommon source for me, since I am also pretty picky about quality standards!

I'll buy from whoever has the best price for the media I'm looking for. Sometimes you can catch a sale at a retail store, i.e. two-for-one special, etc. I've bought most of my media from Fry's. When they have an item on sale, the price is usually pretty good. (But, their regular prices aren't great.)

I recently bought a 25-spindle of Memorex DVD+R media from Amazon.com for $29, because it was the best price I could find at that time.

I try to buy from retail if they are offering rebates or 2-for-1 sale. Then, I will look online for good prices and free shipping/handling.

I tend to buy at B&M since I have a Sony DRU500a which is fairly picky about media, plus I like to make sure I'm getting good quality stuff. So I usually like to make sure I know what I am buying by verifying packaging, country of origin, stuff like that.

I know it costs more, but I do only buy when there are decent sales going on and then stock up.

yeah thats the main reason i swapped my sony dru510a for the plextor 708a, cause the sony was so damn media picky, even the Ritek G04 4x dvd-r's errored out lotsa times

but plextor burns everything i throw at it thus far

Both online and B&M, depending on where the deal is! I try to stay away from mail-in rebates, but I have no problem with instant rebates (who would?).
