Labeling systems

I've read lots of forum posts advising NOT to use adhesive labels. Handwriting is not an option since I need to label music CDs with the songs on each disk (my family quickly "disconnects" CDs from cases or jackets).
Any thoughts on the Casio thermal printer? A bit steep (on sale at local Staples for $90) but maybe the technical advantages and lower cost of supplies (just thermal cartridge versus ink and labels) make sense over the long term. I expect to be making music CDs and family videos on DVDs for years to come.

Have you looked at the Brother P-Touch labelers? They are awesome. I have the PT-1750, got it on sale at OM one day. They have them at Staples too.
Here's Mine
I label all my CD's with them and most of my DVD's. I also use it to label DVD Cases and Floppy Disks.

Canon's new printers can print directly to CDs/DVD's. Lot's better than sticking on a full-disk label!
Pretty good photo printing, from what I've heard. They have two models, I've only looked at the higher-end model (because it has 6 seperate ink cartridges). I think the other one is under $150 or so.
Not too bad if you need a regular printer too!

your thinking of the R300 epson printer, i work at staples and trust me you cannot find one anywhere, we CANNOT keep them in stock fast enough
also ive got the Brother P-Touch 2300 labeler, USB printing, hehe
as far as using adhesives, its not really an adhesive, it comes off fairly easy

It's not just Epson. The Canon i865 prints a CD directly (it's hard to get here too, though). I just bought an i850 9 months ago, otherwise I'd go for it!

Im also curious about this sort of printers. Do they work on any cd-r? How is the result when you cover the whole cd?
Would be nice to use it to print the original "print" on a backup.
