Which burner program for CD-R/RW newbie?

What software is recommended for a newbie at burning CDs on a WinXP system?

I see a lot of references to Easy CD Creator and to Nero, but I'm not clear on why one would choose one over the other. Also, Nero seems to have a wide variety of products and I'm not sure which one is most appropriate for occasion burning.

Opinions/recommendations, please? Thanks.

Why not try the burn program that comes with WinXP?
Here are a few free apps:
www.burnatonce.com -Good
www.deepburner.com -Better
http://hem.bredband.net/cdburnerxp/ -Best

I personally like RecordNow: http://estore.sonic.com/enu/recordnow/recordnow.asp

Go with nero 6.Versatile in every way.
I've never used XP's burn feature.I've never had to.I use Nero.Used Easy CD a few years ago but Nero is just better.Less bugs etc.......
To rip mp3's - CDEX,it's free and the best http://www.cdex.n3.net/

Hi swsnyder,
If you are new to CD burning then go for Roxio EZCD.Too easy and it's very hard to go wrong with it.Nero also is very good, but I would say that 5.5 is the better version because Nero 6 has never worked for me.Nero offers a lots of burning features. But for a newbie get Roxio EZCD 6.
See ya guys later,

EZCDCreator is simple to use for music and data CDRs. Nero is easy to use for VCD/SVCD CDR burning. I haven't tried v6 yet. I'm still using 5.5.10.54.
