I just installed my cd-rw drive into my new pc but its not functioing prpoperly. it wont read discs, and opens to an empty folder regardless of whther there is a disc in it or not. its a khypermedia48x24x48. i have it installed on the secondary IDE as slave. my DVD is working fine.

can anyone help?

From your description, I'm assuming that the Secondary Master is your DVD-ROM drive. Try setting the KHypermedia drive to "Master" and your DVD to "Slave".
