cd burner copies data but does not burn

i have a wierd problem, mi optorite cw4802 only reads and copies data, but it will not burn. I've tryed changing the burning speed but it still doesnt work and ive test many kinds of cd blanks. However it still does not burn. Is my cd-rw burned out or is there a way to fix it?
If anyone can help plez write back, or any suggestions.
