Stand Alone and EAC question

I just bought a 1 to 3 stand alone burner with 52/32/52 Lite On drives and controlled by an ACARD. I bought this to make copies of shows from live concerts from bands that allow taping. The people that trade the shows are very meticulous (sp) on every aspect of the music from the orginal source history to mic etc. I have found out traders will not trade with you unless you use a program Call EAC (exact audio copy) to rip it to your hard drive first then burn. It suppose to not add a generation that disk to disk burning does. Prevents the "pops" and corrects sector and fixes TAO gaps basically keeps the trading pool clean. Does the Lite-On drives not do this. I saw in the review that the drives correct damaged sectors. I do have a USB port so I can use the program but that defeats the purpose of a stand alone disk. Any thoughts on this would be greatly apprecaited. Thanks for the great site is was very helpful when deciding on which drives to get. Jeff
