Hi,
My girlfriend had numerous problems with her computer (running on Win Me) While burning the computer often crashed but sometimes it did finish the cd. So I formatted the old piece of crap and installed win98 with nero burning rom.
Most of the problems were gone accept that now the burner (HP9200) gave a fixation error.
I looked for drivers but non were available. So I thougt: if there are no drivers I probably don't need drivers and the thing has broken down.

So I told her to buy a new burner whith she did and the burning went fine.

Since I am a mechanical engineer I couldn't help myself trying to fix the old one. So I took if home and hooked it to my computer (running win2k) and it worked perfectly.

So we decided to give it to my parents (running win98) and gues what. It gave a fixation error.

I 've tried to get drivers form the windowsudate site and the HP site but all I find is a firmware update and it still gives the error.

What do I need and where can I find it?

not that i really think it will help, but you can try updating to the latest version of Nero 5.5 - 5.5.10.56.
