Heh dodec, it's CDRInfo.. what do you expect?
Anyway, is this an Optorite OEM, like the other MSI optical drives?

Wow, that drive looks good :) :)

Will this drive be released in the USA? If so, what price? I'd probably use it for DVD-ROM only, but that drive looks sweet, and it's, of course, SATA, so a thinner cable.

Here it is, in english. It was front-paged.

The quality looks good, well, make that *VERY* good. Does anyone know if this drive will be availible in the US, and if so, for how much? I like the SATA goodness.

EDIT: Just saw this,

supports only few chipsets: Intel 875P / 865PE / 865G / 865GV / 865P / 848P

good thing I have an 875P, but I doubght an optical drive compatible with those few chipsets is going to make it to market.

It appears to have a regular power connector, not a true SATA power connector. Not that PSU's have a lot of SATA of power connectors on them anyway. Both of mine are used with my hard drives.

I'd do it, but I'm just going to put my Premium on a PATA-SATA adapter. This one is $62.78 after shipping to Minnesota.

I ordered a Koutech pata-sata adapter from Newegg to test out on my optical drives. If this works out, I'm going to buy a few more of these adapters from Newegg for all of my optical drives.
