any 40x cdrw drive coming soon ?

hi everyone

i use a lot of cd rw media ,i want to know that is their any development currently happening to make faster cd burners or the cd burner days are numbered (like the socket A :) ).

I don't know, but maybe they maxed out at 52X...........oops, CDRW...nevermind.

32X CD-RW drives are out there and probably the last improvement.

Yea. Why invest in something that never really caught on anyway? Besides, with DVDRW out there...

I mean, when most of the CDRW discs that you see are still the old 4x types, you know that CDRW was a flop: the speed wasn't there when CDRW could've been useful, and when the speed was there, DVDRW took over...
