Problem with disc-at-once audio cds

When I burn a disc-at-once audio cd, the last half-second of each song doesn't appear on the cd. I've tried several burning programs -- Roxio Easy CD Creator 5, and a couple I downloaded, I think Cheetah (the latest version) and Burnatonce -- it happens with all of them. If I burn the same songs allowing the two-second space between songs, they come out fine, nothing lost. The problem arises only with disc-at-once.

Is there a way to fix this problem? Has anyone else had this problem?

XP Home, Pentium 2.4 GHz, 384 MB RAM, NEC NR-7900A.

Thanks.

I use both,Roxio 6 and Nero 5.5,and I dont face that problem.Try changing the brand of media. If that does not help, try burning a CD on some other burner connected to your computer.

Thanks, Pranav.

I tried other media -- no change. I tried Nero 6 -- no change. I tried (getting desperate here) storing the audio tracks on a different hard drive in my computer and compiling the CD from them -- no change.

I've come to the conclusion that it's the drive causing the trouble. I've been thinking about stepping up to a dual-format DVD-RW burner, and tomorrow will be the day.
