I've tried to look up this with the Search function. and from what I could tell...the generally preferred media is taiyo yuden > mitsui silver > mitsui gold. I just wanted to be sure, before I gave the wrong info.

I'm in the process of converting a music collection to CD, which would be played at a nightclub. It wasn't a high convern of mines of the quality of media in the past, but the eventual goal is to move more to CD. I've never had a problem in the past using TDK/CMC CDs. But there have been others who use similar equipment and has had the players stop on them. The manufacturer pointed finger to cheap media.

Before I move the entire collection to CD, I thought maybe it would be a better idea to use some TY or Mitsui media. But searching prices...this media runs from about $0.27 to $0.99 per disk.

oh, it will be burn at 16x using a NEC-ND2500A ( I miss my 52x liteon)

My choice is FujiFilm, made in Germany. Do not buy spindles of 10, 25, 50 or 100 CDs, because the manufacturer and quality are not the same!

I don't recommend Fujifilm myself, as their UV reactivity has been bad in the past (haven't tested the latest formulations).

TY has been very stable to UV at least.

My experience with MAME hasn't been as great as with TY, as the initial error rates that the burner sees after burning are much higher than with TY disc.

An ideal disc for me was the Emtec Ceram Guard disc (made by TY, with extra scratc protection on the label side), but it's impossible to get anymore.
