A few months ago I had a cracked disc that I needed to duplicate. The only drive that copied it was my LiteOn 52246S. Consider a dvd burner as well, the LiteOn dvd burners are exceptional for their reading abilities and their cd burning abilities; their dvd burning is not their strongest point.

That´s right, the DVD-reading is not the best. But i don´t can commend Liteon overall.
A friend has the 166S and it slows massive down when reading ab bad burned CD-R, his LG GSA 4082 read´s much faster and better.
The LG-burners read dirty and scratched CD´s good, but the CD/DVD-Rom-drives have bad error-correction
