Hi, I new here, I have a Philips CDD4851 model CD-RW, at start up I can use the driver for maybe 5/10 min. Then it just disappears.

Before anyone starts to say so, its NOT defective, I can read disk from it, it just disapears. I can sometimes reinstall via Add new HArdware in the Control Panel, but this done'st always work......

I have XP home edition P4 16... 716 Ram......

can anyone help me?

Did you try reloading Windows?
