Which shall I keep Liteon 52327 or Mitsumi 458GTE?

Hi,

I am giving my brother in law an old computer. 866 Mhz, decent I would say. I currently have these 2 drives. Which one shall I put the in computer? The Liteon or the Mitsumi? The reason I am asking is I want to keep one for future use/storage. He will be using the burner about once a week or less. Music mainly. No data. So which one shall I give and which one shall I keep? Any suggestions? They are both same speed, but I am more concerned with the longevity and dependability of the drive. Any particular experience with this 2 drives. They both write well, I know. Which one will last longer I need to know.

Thank you much for your input.

Regards

MM

Liteon LTR-52327S's MTBF: 70,000 Hours

Mitsumi doesn't list an MTBF for the 485GTE, but it claims 50,000POH for the similar 485FTE

Hello!

I think the MTBF-value isn´t very real.

I recommend a LG or MSI-Cd-writer

I don't think he wants to buy a new writer, Scour. :)

I don't know much about the Mitsumi writer, but I know the Lite-On is a good choice.
