Printable media "problem"

I recently bought an Epson stylus r200 since I really wanted to print on cd-r/dvd-r media. The program tells me when I've printed a cover that it should dry for 24 hours before using the disc. Well, anyway.. I've waited alot longer than that and I can still "smear" the colour on the printed disc with my fingers if I try. I've been using Verbatim cd-r/dvd-r with printable surface for this experiment. Anyone got the same "problem"? I can't smear the colour on normal papers that I've printed but only on this printable media.

The disc needs to be "white inkjet printable". I'm pretty sure the silver ones do not work, they are designed for another printer. I've been using the r200 for a couple months now, and its awesome. When you get the right media, select best photo quality when printing.

ive got the epson r300 printer, and i would advise against printing on full photo quality

that could be another reason why it isn't drying, best photo quality puts out a lot more ink that standard mode

for media im using prodisc 8x dvd-r hub printable now, but tomorrow i receive my 8x TY dvd-r printable media

I haven't had any problems, they look incredible. :)

TY01 and TY02 media (not hub printable)

I have the R200 and no problems. There is a setting for ink density. Read the specific section to discover how to adjust your printer to avoid smearing. I haven't had to but that's not the issue. One can regulate the density. Hope this was helpful.

This is irritating. Printed a cover, 4-5 days ago and I can still make it smear with no problem assuming my fingers are not 100% dry of some reason.. I didn't even print the cover with maximum resolution but used the second-best.
