CDR's without serial number ??

I scan all CDR's I burn with KProbe and keep track of the results in a database. So I've gotten into the habit of noting the serial numbers of the blanks. Today I found that a package of Verbatim DLP's ("Goods of EU") I bought last year had no serial number (the engraved "stamper ID" (??) was present though) .

It's no great deal, but is the first time I've seen this. Has anyone else encountered a batch like this?

LOL. I'll think about it- when I get back from B.C. (although I just bought a bigger flash drive).

You mean no serial number on the hub of the disc? If so, yeah, I've seen it before. I have some Sony and Ritek manufactured discs with no serial numbers on the hubs. I'm not sure if this has any bearing on it, but the Sony and Ritek discs I have with no serial numbers happen to have unbranded, shiny silver tops. Very generic looking. I wouldn't consider them shoddy by any means, in fact, the discs perform A-OK in error scans.

Yes, that's what I meant. Otherwise thy look pretty much the same as the other "extra protective surface" discs I've had and they perform the same. I'm sure it was an oversight and has no bearing on the quality (but I may mail them anyway like dodec suggested ).
