I must not be searching correctly, because I can't seem to find anything on this here. What's the approx. maximum burn you can do on an 80-minute CD-R with no overburning? If specifics matter (and I know they can), then I have Taiyo-Yuden #1160 CD-Rs and a Lite-On 851S DVD burner with the latest firmware and I'm using Nero Express 6.3.1.6 to burn music on it.

The only reason I'm asking is that I remember on 74-minute CD-Rs I was only able to burn approx. 72:20 minutes of music for some odd reason. Since the 80-minute CD-Rs allow you to burn all the way, then great! Thank you. :D

if it's true then maybe i'm wrong and it's not 80 minutes.
best way to find out is to try!

It's possible that my Sony Hotburn program just didn't let me burn music past 72:20 or there abouts on a 74-minute CD-R.
