I currently own a 24x-10-40 TEAC CDRW with the latest firmware (so it supports Mount Rainer). At job we buyed a CDRW (the MSI-8348) and I can take the one I want for me for "free"...

Which one should I keep ?

TEAC +++
- Mount Rainer
- It's a TEAC !

MSI +++
- Faster CD-R Speed (I dont really care since I dont think i'll see a real difference)
- Faster CD-RW Speed (that may be interesting for me)
- Faster CD Reading
but NO Mount Rainer with current firmware

BTW, on the Sticker, only MS-8348 (No A or B) with ExacLink

Here are the images of it

What would you do ?

Go with the MSI unless you absolutely need Mount Rainer Support.

unless burning speeds are important to you, i would go with the Teac.

The MSI 8340 received a relatively poor rating here on CDRLabs.com, and I'm not sure if MSI improved upon their 40X drive. You run the risk of them not improving anything. With a Teac, you know you are getting quality no matter what.
