No, Verbatim (Mitsubishi Chemicals) makes Verbatim DataLife Plus discs (although there has been some speculation that the actual fabrication may be subcontracted out to CMC plants).
Go to Target and pick up a smaller package of the Verbatim DataLife Plus discs and see how you like them before you make a big purchase. They are reasonably priced, although not a bargain, at Target, and you can get them in small quantities for testing.
