So far, they've burned flawlessly at 32x, and although it is capable of 52x on my LG 8525B, I haven't burned them extensively at that speed. But for the few that were written at 52x, they worked out fine as well. The discs also have a white writable surface.

I can get the silver topped ones for $30.00 :D

Thirty Six Canadian?!?! Damn, that's cheap. I'm paying around 52 USD for the Mitsui. For the time being though, laquered surface. I'm looking into one of those Bravo type deals and then I'll go with the white printable.

In any event, I sure wish I could get my hands on some here locally. I'll keep poking around. You make a good case for having a backup supplier.

You DID say that they were silver bottom right?

Ritek has only used the Phthalocyanine Silver dye for a while now... I'd be very surprised if you found any generic silver/blue media by Ritek now a days. Just stick to the 48x CD-Rs and you'll be fine :D

As for the pricing in Canada... well, it helps to know the competition

BTW: Your pricing on Mitsui is very good. My personal pricing is $0.77 CDN per disc on the Silver/silver 74min Mitsui discs. Our regular pricing is almost never lower $0.88, and can be as high as $1.15ea (all CDN of course).
