I just recorded a Verbatim MusicLifePlus in DAO mode with 4x speed. everything is normal till i tryed to read the disc - in my technics cd player it is readable but in cd-rw isn's. Before burning i configures WinOnCD to close the disk but after burning the software tells me that the CD is still open. I closed the disk but after that i cant read it anymore anywhere... The question is: Are CD-Rs for consumer recorders compatible with PC CD-RWs. My recorder is Philips CDD6911 - 48/16/48.

Yes. There is no need to use them, since they just cost more, but you can use them, and you can use them for music or data or whatever you want.

And I think that there is no difference but I'm looking for the reason of the problem i described. maybe my writer didnt like this dark-blue surface ot the media - Verbatim MusicLifePlus. I've writed many CD-Rs before withouth any problems and i'm suspicious...
And interesting fact. After this problem i burned the same audio on regular data CD with amazing speed of 48x because i forget to change the writing speed! And the interesting is that this CD is readable on my regular CD player and in two CD-rom drives. This is my first 48x recording! 470MB for about 2 min. Amazing speed!

i could possibly just be a compatibility issue of your player with this media.
or just a one-time-fluke.
try another one.

or just use regular data CDs, as per cfitz's explanations (read his link).
