Hey Everyone!

I am planning on buying a cd writer and would like to know your opinion. I have been searching the web for reviews of the LG 52x24x52 and found nothing. I have looked at reviews of the LITE ON and am pleased of the results. The only thing I am wondering about is the media compatibility. Is there anyone who has used the LG 52x24x52? Because I would really appreciate your opinion. I like the looks of the LG and from previous reviews from CDRLABS they are either top notch or lacking. So I don't have a strong opinion about the LB drives. Which drive would you guys choose and why?

Also do you guys know why CDRLABS have not given a review for these drives?

If you're worried about media compatibility, the LG is probably not for you.

Lite-On's are more media friendly than LG drives.

Get the Lite-On 52x24x52, you don't be disappointed.

I wouldn't agree with that. Look at the media incompatability issues that the Lite-On 40X, 48X, and 52X burners had with CMC discs. I'm not just talking about one brand of CMC discs either, there are several brands (Imation, Memorex, Office Depot, Staples, and Philips to name a few) that don't perform well. There is only one brand of discs (Future Power) that has not worked in my LG drives, and that is attributed to being a bad batch of CD's.
