I know its been posted before, but since the search function is broke..... Can someone tell me where 24X rewriteable media is available? I thought it was available at CompUSA, but check on-line, and couldn't find it. I remember reading that the Verbatim was the best, but don't know where its available. I also remember hearing about Memorex, but don't know who makes it. Thanks.

Found 24X Memorex at Best Buy...However, with that said...keep in mind...my Samsung SM-348B will only work with it at 16X. Seems the hardware sees an issue any faster than that...so it slows it down to 16X. Typical for Memorex...Avoid until Verbatim or someone releases Ultra Speed Media

Stay away from the Memorex CD-RWs. They are bad quality (made by Infodisc). I don't have any results from their 24x discs, but their 4x and 12x discs are awful products that don't last more than a few burns:

On the other hand, people have reported good success with the Verbatim 24x CD-RW media. You can find it for sale all over the place. Just do a search on Google:

5 pack - Verbatim 94458
10 pack - Verbatim 94457

Try those in your favorite comparison shopping engine as well (pricegrabber, bizrate, dealtime, etc.).

Yeah, stay away from Memorex! I couldn't even burn one once.

Some Memorex 12x RW discs made by Ritek are very good .No DATA losses ,no errors ,last more than 30 burns.....
