LG GCE 8481B CDR/RW drive noisy when playing audio CD
Posted: Mon Feb 10, 2003 11:20 pmI got the LG GCE 8481B CDR/RW drive (48x24x38x) with my Dell computer. When it plays regular audio CD (store bought), it plays them but the drive light is on continually for the whole CD and it does make a medium humming noise. Unfortunately, it drowns out the music.
I have a Samsung CDRW/DVD Combo drive. No problems. The drive light is mostly off and no humming sounds.
Dell has sent me another drive (same GCE model). Same problem.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Any ideas?
