Tracking error with HP 8200E

Since somes days the following message appear'' Easy Creator had detected that there were error during the recording or that there are errors on you new CD'' Errors: 1: Power calibration 2: track writer error. I use Memorex 700 MB since many years without problems up to now. OS is Windows 98SE. I have a external HP 8200E burner, 3 years old. I installed the burner on a different machine with Windows XP. Sames errors occured. Do you have an idea of the solution.
