buffer underrun technologies and burned-cd reliability......

hi,

this is my first post on this forum
(sorry for my english)

I have a question ... I have an lg 48x 16x 48x burner and I created with nero an audio-cd from a collection of mp3, at 48x writing speed.

At the end I got the message that buffer underrun have been prevented for 21 times. :-?

... now i would ask if the audio cd created is reliable, even if buffer underrun technology has been activated :roll:

Yes, your disc should still be reliable. The linking technology used to prevent buffer underrun errors works quite well these days. If you were sending the CD-R out to be mastered for a run of pressed CDs, there might be some issue. But that is an entirely different matter.

Some people do like to burn audio discs at slower speeds, saying that doing so makes the music sound better or makes the CD-R easier to read in audio players. I'm a little skeptical of these claims, although there is some basis for them. Try it yourself and see if it makes any difference to your ears or your players.
