Lite-On 48125W Performance (Burning of different CDRs)

I am curious, how good are Maxell Color CD-Rs (Ritek) in quality compared to other CD-Rs company?
Also, can someone give me an explanation on this. When I burn a maxell color 40X CD-R, I get a lot lower C1 errors (around 40) compared to when I burn with TY (Memorix 40X) (around 100)? Any idea why this is?
