i'm using recordnow7.3 wiith nec nd-6500a burner, all of which camw with my dell laptop.

i cannot do exact copy of video on dvd -r and dvd +rw disc media. It read the original dvd fine, and asks me to insert a blank dvd disc, it then tries to read the disc, and ejects it without any expalinations, and requesting again that a blank disc be inserted

appreciate any info on what to do to burn videos

thank you
k

Is the video protected (bought in the store)?

Did you ever find a fix to this problem

is the original dvd -- dvd-9?
trying to burn onto a dvd-5?
i know it sounds goofy, i'm probably wrong
but i spent an hour and a half trying to burn some mpegs using mydvd
looked all thru the tutorials for nothing, then decide to reduce the number of mpegs - bingo

We used dvd-r instead of dvd+r and it worked perfect. Also, a co-worker of mine recorded it on a LINUX system and had no problems.

same is happening with me, it won't vreate data cd's on dvd-r and won't do exact copy from dvd+rw to dvd-r. right now it says verifying disc 125min left

I have been using Sonic products and RN 6.7 was the last version of the standalone I have used. Disc to Disc is always sketchy at best on DVDs. It is much better to create and image to hard drive then burn from there.

Even the integrated MyDVD 6 recorder has the same problems. I have tried this with 2 different burners and multiple sources. Although not convienent the burn from image is much less problems.
