I'm looking at buying the NEC 3520, its $61 bare and $63 bare + a Roxio DVD edition CD.
I have a copy of Nero 6.? I've not been very impressed with Nero.

Should I spring for the extra $2 ??? #-o

Now isn't this a world beater question.

i would.
if you don't like Nero, go Easy Media Creator!

i paid for it some $10 - mainly because i wanted DragToDisc.

What is DragToDisc? Is it CD-R only or does it also apply to DVD?

Don't burn many CDs anymore.

DragToDisc is Roxio's packet-writing software - it allows you to dragNdrop files to the CD/DVD recorder in Windows Explorer, like you would save files to the hard drive or a floppy drive.
similar to Ahead's InCD, Sonic's DLA.

it works with CDs as well as DVDs.
moreover it works with write-once media too! CD-R, DVD+/-R (InCD does not. i don't know about DLA)
