a nero option in roxio

hi gang

nero offers an auto resteration in their wave editor.this option helps to
automatically remove clicks or clacks from 78 records.does roxio offer
this kind of option in their wave editor??

I don't use Nero or Roxio software for this... Try Audacity... it's free and here is a place to get some help for what you are doing.

Yes, Roxio does have these features. You may do better with Audicity and manually removing the pops if there isn't to many. I use Adobe Audition. It is the best at automatically removing clicks / pops / noise from records. Sony Sound Forge is also very good with the Noise Reduction plug-in. Just remember to go easy on automatic settings. If you set it up to sensitive, you will make the sound metallic and weird. Also you cannot polish a turd into a diamond... That is, if the record is completely worn out and noisy you won't improve it much.

If it matters, have version 8.0.
In sound editor-
Open a sound file
Click Tools
Click Clean Up Audio
Click Clean.

it does matter....i have roxio creater 9 but the set up is just like the one you have.so i follow that procedure u laid out huh....ok thanks.
