I have an OEM sony CR185E3 recorder so it does not come with softwares.

I have installed EZCD 5.0 basic and updated to the last one found on roxio site (5.3). Now my recorder is recognized but when I try to format a CDRW media (in order to use it as drag and drop), I got an error message, like "your cd recorder receiver an error initialization... Error on <Hexadecimal>.. Please reboot your computer..."

But if I use an already formatted CDRW media (I formatted it using another recorder, an LG, at office), I can drag and drop files... What could it be?

The installation of DirectCD may be corrupted or somehow unsuccessful.

I would try uninstalling DirectCD and reinstalling to see if that fixed the format error.

It happens me when I format a quick erased CDRW, but when use full erased it can be formated well. This happens with all my HS-RW media with 2x or 4x media I have no probs at all.
